She thought it might be from using moist wipes or dampened toilet paper. Now I’m not sure what to use because dry TP is too harsh on my skin. Did you have experience with moist wipes causing rashes and, if so, what do you use instead?

A:

Have you tried different brands of wipes? Or of TP? (I only use Charmin soft)
Are you using ones that don’t have alcolhol in them?
Do you pat dry or use hair dryer to dry off after wipes or wet TP?
Do you apply anything after wiping? Like lanolin or vaseline? Are you using any prescription creams?
Did you discuss possible causes such as yeast issues?
Try sticking to one brand of tp and wet it for a month and see if anything changes.
If no changes, try wipes – the same brand- for a month.

I used to use wipes a few years ago, but I didn’t like using chemicals.
So I use a spray bottle to moisten TP with water now. I use Charmin soft TP. I occasionally use zinc oxide or yeast creams after, but that’s when I feel the rash flare up. It occurs after BMs and after sitting.

The problem can be even not related to the wipes themselves – it’s just that you need to dry the area after you use them. I just use a hair dryer set on low. It’s fast, easy and dries the area really good.

What would be your absolute basic recommendations for someone who is open to the concept of changing diet, but is single, on the go, doesn’t cook and lives out of suitcases in hotels.

Sound a bit extreme, but that will be common circumstance for many career people and was mine for quite some time.

To start, I’d bet a more liberal low-carb program (like Atkins) would work nicely. Then as you start to see results and start to feel better, you might be willing to brainstorm ways to eliminate the foods that feed yeast (dairy, fruit, nuts) to see even better results.

The only problem when you don’t cook for yourself much is that you end up getting a lot of food with unknown ingredients. For people with ANY kinds of sensitivities, this can be a real issue. The added salt, sugar, and MSG alone can cause real problems, but you may already be getting that now (depending on how you’re eating.)

Youc can keep several hard boiled eggs on hand all the time to grab, and also have a baked chicken in the fridge.

Maybe just have yourself rid of one thing at a time. Like if you are drinking sodas, start there. Try one meal at a time, like just eat a nice fat/protein breakfast and focus on that for a while.

The point is to build up slowly, so that not only does your body not get overwhelmed, but your mind adapts and forms it into a healthy habit. This will certainly get you on the right mindset, which is basically the whole story.

~ nausea,
~ headache,
~ swollen glands,
~ bloating,
~ constipation or diarrhea,
~ increased joint or muscle pain,
~ elevated heart rate,
~ chills, cold extremeties,
~ itching, scratching, nail biting,
~ unusual perspiration,
~ fever (usually low grade),
~ hypotension (low blood pressure),
~ Itching, hives and rash (sometimes assumed to be an
allergic reaction)

Symptom intensifiers:
Two common sources: decreasing the blood flow, which allows the toxins to accumulate, or, increasing the die off of parasites.

~ fear,
~ anxiety and worry,
~ hormonal imbalances,
~ enzymes, bromelain, pancreatin, etc.,
~ clotting agents, heavy foods,
~ excessive exercise, tiredness,
~ fatigue, exhaustion,
~ cold temperatures,
~ air pollution,
~ anti-virals,
~ anti-bacterials,
~ anti-fungals,
~ anti-parasitics,
~ chronic illnesses,
~ high doses of vitamins,
~ some forms of chelation treatments

Symptom reduction

Two common strategies: improving the blood flow to clear the toxins faster (see vascular constriction), or, neutralizing the toxins (or both).

~ antihistamines,
~ relaxation techniques,
~ Enemas, Colemas, Colonics,
~ increase in blood thinning supplements,
~ Lemon/Olive Oil liver/gall bladder cleanse,
~ 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice (Organic) or 1/2 lemon rind),
~ 1 Tbsp cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil,
~ flavanoids (widens blood vessels),
~ hydrogen peroxide intravenous,
~ aerobic oxygen supplementation,
~ lymphatic massage,
~ anti-inflammatories,
~ bentonite clay,
~ charcoal tablets,
~ diatomaceous earth,
~ pain medication,
~ muscle relaxers,
~ hot baths / hot tub,
~ steam bath or dry sauna,
~ infrared Hot House treatment,
~ a cleansing bath: add 1 cup salt, 1 cup soda, 1 cup epsom salts, 1 cup aloe vera, to a hot bath, remain in and keep hot for about 1-1/2 hours all the while consuming about 2 quarts of warm water.

Personally I use Bentonite clay, hot baths with espom salts and ocassionally saunas.

Right now while I’m pregnant, my blood sugar is not as easily controlled as I’d like it to be, and if I have even one serving of something that I don’t normally eat (like a bit of pineapple or some grapes, for instance), my fasting blood sugars are higher for about 24 hours.

Since I’m not only eating the way I do to try and deal with Candida but also to ward off diabetes, control my blood pressure, and deal with food addiction, I’ve learned that higher-sugar fruit, grain, starchy veggies and legumes just do NOT work for me.

There aren’t any nutrients in grain, legumes, and starchy veggies that I can’t get from other foods that work better for me. I feel a TINY bit differently about fruit, but I don’t NEED fruit to be healthy, and I certainly can’t tolerate much (if any) while trying to address the Candida issue. Heck, even too many cooked onions give me issues. *sigh*

I wish this wasn’t true for me. I wish I could eat whatever I wanted and be healthy. I wish I didn’t have to limit my diet the way I know I have to in order to get healthy. That’s a “head” issue that I still have to work on though — accepting the fact that I’m probably never going to be able to eat certain foods and stay healthy.

Candida normally lives in all mucus membranes in the body, i.e. ears, eyes, nose, sinuses, mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach, intestines, bladder, lungs, vagina, etc. It is one of the billions of friendly organisms that serve a useful purpose in the body.
One of Candida’s important functions is to recognize and destroy harmful bacteria and toxins.

However, under certain conditions Candida changes from a friendly organism into an overgrowing monster that causes a great deal of damage throughout the body. That is because Candida produces over 79 different kinds of chemicals that are designed to break the body down, which nature only intends to happen when the body dies.

When Candida starts to overgrow while the body is still alive the toxins it produces causes tremendous damage throughout the body resulting in numerous symptoms, diseases, illnesses, malfunctioning organs, and many debilitating conditions throughout the body.
These toxins also cause emotional and mental problems such as anxiety, depression, an inability to concentrate, etc.
