I have recently lost 15 pounds due to candida, hypoglycemia, adrenal fatigue Every time I eat ANY sugar I get completely exhausted within minutes and it feels like my blood sugar plummets. I have been eating brown rice and chicken okay however. Has anyone here had this ultra quick reaction to sugar which is very scary?

I did not lose the weight on purpose though I need to lose about 50 pounds. I have had panic attacks waking me from my sleep and I think my adrenal glands are shot. I actually licked a sucker only about 4 times and within minutes felt like I was going to pass out. I have no idea what to eat except for meat and some complex carbs. This is scary for me indeed.

A:
I used to have terrible panic attacks and anxiety. About a year and a half ago I read this book called The Mood Cure by Julia Ross. It is about how to get rid of anxiety, depression and panic attacks using natural methods. It totally changed my life, and the concepts go well with this plan. Since I completely gave up sugar 3 months ago, I have had zero anxiety and no panic attacks at all which is shocking because I have suffered with this for 20 years. Up until I gave up sugar 3 months ago, I have had some level of anxiety every single day, even when on vacation and even when things were going really great.

Meat and vegetables and healthy fats are probably best for you now.
You should also get some Virgin Coconut oil and take at least a teaspoon with each meal. It keeps your blood sugar stable which helps prevent anxiety and panic. Fish oil is really good too. I take Carlson’s liquid. I like it because it is completely flavorless and because it is a liquid it is easy to take a high dose without taking a million pills.

If you feel like you must have sugar, get some Stevia. It has no carbs or calories and does not elevate your blood sugar whatsoever.
The brand I use is Stevia Canada and has no bitter aftertaste like most of them in the US.

you say to eat two meals a day because your body needs time to digest so i am assuming you mean breakfast and dinner since skipping lunch would give time for the body to digest and sleeping would give the body time to digest dinner.

or does it matter? can i skip breakfast and eat lunch and dinner or just breakfast and lunch. i’m just curious to hear your thoughts on this. i have also read a book called the Warrior Diet which i find very interesting because it advocates eating very small amounts throughout the day and having one big meal at night. i actually followed it for about a week and i feel pretty good but at the same time i do not think it is practical to stay on it for too long.

A:
It’s fine to eat three meals a day. Two-three is ideal. I tend only to eat two meals a day because I am just not hungry enough to eat more than that. If you do choose only to eat two meals, it is up to you if you want to eat breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner. I usually eat around 9:30-10am and again around 5:30-6pm.

The key is to eat enough at one meal so that you aren’t snacking between meals. It’s good that the digestive system has time to do its job and then to rest in between. If you eat 5-6 meals a day, there is no time for it to rest.

This is an excerpt from one article:
Snacking & Eating More than 3 Meals Per Day

Your body only needs 3 square meals per day, and some people do better only eating 2 meals per day. Snacking between meals or eating more often is not healthy.

Your body needs the time between meals to digest, absorb and utilize the nutrients without having its energies directed towards digesting more food. If you eat enough food at mealtime, two to three times a day, it will sustain you until the next meal.

The
tests don’t show the ability of the hormone to function within the
cell. This is why some people can have ‘normal’ blood tests, but
still have symptoms of low hormone levels.

Candida can mess up all of the hormones and on a blood test hormones
are completely out of whack! Is this common with Candida?

Yes, having whacked out hormones is extremely common for
candida sufferers. There are many things besides diet and
supplements that help adrenals and the whole endocrine system,
including the thyroid, i.e. dry skin brushing, coffee enemas, Electrolyte
Drink, etc.

Candida toxins, and other toxins as well, cause cell membranes to
become rigid/stiff

So don’t be concerned about your hormone levels, since tests can
not measure what is going on in the cells anyway, and hormone levels
that too high or too low simply mean candida and other toxins have
done enough damage that the body isn’t able to function normally.

Concentrate on doing the recomended program so your body can heal itself,
and eventually it will normalize the functioning of all organs.
